That time again

You'll be pleased to know that I'm getting some new reading glasses. At least you should be as my highest and most frequently read post on this blog of mine is this one with 2,134 pageviews! Following that post was a massive post on my very important and super interesting decision making at the holy grail, Specsavers.

In case you're wondering I chose a pair from the Gok Wan range as they were the most modern designs there. They look like this and I still love them to this day:

GOK WAN 12 glasses

So yes lets go on another adventure in search for perfect eye wear, from Specsavers! Meanwhile...

It was so misty this morning I had to take a photo of it on my Canon although it looks a lot like something instagram churns out. How I love the bottom left graffiti.

A little update on project boy zine. Theres a second issue launching whenever it's finished, which will be whenever. It's bohemian, deal with it. No it's going to be great, I hope you all enjoy viewing it. Speaking of boys vibe, feel free to submit image or text (pretty much anything you feel) you can email me on sammeh--@hotmail.com.

Back to the vision...

Not going to lie, I think I'm sticking with Gok. I'm feeling cat-eye.

One thing I love about my current glasses is the colour, the only thing new about this design is the eye shape,  cat-eye, meowww.

S RED OR DEAD 79 glasses
I'm stuck for choice! These are by Red or Dead.

If this is the vibe they give off then I'm sold.

I've made the decision and cat-eye is my next venture. Here are some of the other lenses I really liked also by Gok Wan:

GOK WAN 55 glasses
These have a slightly wider lens, still cat like but not enough for me.

GOK WAN 54 glasses
Unfortunately hipsters all over the world have ruined this style of lens for me.

Gok Wan Exclusive for Specsavers

The 25th February was the unveiling of Gok Wans eye wear collection for Specsavers, and I got a sneak preview beforehand!

These are the pair I chose on the 23rd when I popped in for a eyetest because I felt like my eyes had changed. There was a beautiful MISSONI pair that I was set of straight away until the Head Merchandiser grabbed me to one side like a Market dealer in Abu Dhabi 'pssssst... they really suit you but let me show you a peek at Goks collection!' The lady was so lovely! She wasn't suppose to show them until the 25th but I got a preview! There are 30 styles overall and I'm pretty certain I tried them all one. There were two trays full!

With these glasses you really have to try them all on to see what works best for your face shape and skin tone. Also imagine how they will fit for your life style and personal style. I only need them for reading as my eyes are 'sensitive' (irony) so I chose the pair above because I will be whipping them out every now and again, so I want that double take from people. This pair also came in green. To view the collection click here.

MISSONI 39 glasses
This was the MISSONI pair that were so cute, but I figured, everyone has these glasses and I already have a clear pair set I wear for fun anyways!

A pick of some of the styles on offer, there are a million colours in the collection:

I was mega impressed with Gok Wans designed, theres a broad range of styles and colours fit for everyone. It was such a breath of fresh air in Specsavers I see this as the start of a new lease of creative design for eye wear on the highstreet. Theres nothing worse than picking out a new pair so to have Gok on the menu was a real treat! I can't wait to pick them up Tuesday!

Today that is Sunday

I joined dailybooth!

So that means lots of photos everyday. It's kinda like a Flickr 365 which I had a fair attempt at... but this is less effort, you can post a snappy or a creative shot and all is good. It seems pretty fun so far. It takes people watching to a whole new level ^-^

Here are some outtakes in case you wanted to see how pale I was and yeah I do wear my geek glasses round the house for fun, yep that is a scarf/turban trend ticked off my list and yeah those pink pants, kinda my pajamas.

Say hello to my Duckie from Pretty in Pink glasses. I looooove them. From ebay!

I actually think this might be my first photos of me post, interesting times.
